Acting the Song (Ages 9-13)

Dates: Monday, January 19th, 2026

Time: 9:30-11:30am

Location: THE EVENT ROOM at Cutler Mill- 16 Cutler Street Warren (Behind Tom’s Market)

Cost: $30 *Scholarship application will be available as part of the registration.

Age: Ages 9-13

Description:What sets you apart from others at an audition? Learn multiple techniques on how to tell an
honest story through song so that you are prepared for your next big audition! Students will be asked to bring in a 32-bar cut and track of any song from the musical theater repertoire for this workshop. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided.
Skills Taught:
-How to score your song as a monologue
-Strong pre-beats and end-beats
-Creating the physical language of your character
-Specific focal points
-Character development
-Listening and responding

Broadway Dance Masterclass with Josh Burrage (Ages 11-18)

Dates: Tuesday, February 17th, 2026

Time: 11:00am-1:00pm

Location: Barrington Middle School Auditorium

Cost: $35 *Scholarship application will be available as part of the registration.

Age: Ages 11-18

Description: Joshua is thrilled to be dancing with you! Born in Westfield, MA, he trained at New England Dance Centers and has built an electrifying career on Broadway and beyond. Most recently, he was seen on Broadway in BOOP! The Musical at the Broadhurst Theatre. His Broadway credits also include CATS. National Tours include Newsies and A Bronx Tale. On screen, you may recognize him from IF (Paramount Pictures), The Gilded Age (HBO), Westworld (HBO), and Disney’s Newsies LIVE! (Disney+).

A two-hour, theatre-focused masterclass highlighting choreography and music from Broadway’s Newsies and BOOP! The Musical. Expect high-energy combinations, storytelling through movement, and real-world Broadway insight. Perfect for dancers/performers ready to sharpen technique, dive into Broadway musicality, and experience the pace of a professional rehearsal room. This workshop is offered to 6th-12th graders across the East Bay!

FEBRUARY VACATION

Dates: Monday, February 16th – Friday, February 20th (February Vacation)

Time: 10:00am-2:00pm with a performance on 2/20 at 2pm (Actors should bring lunch & water daily)

Location: Arts Alive! Studio at Cutler Mill- 16 Cutler Street Warren

Cost: $225 *Scholarship application will be available as part of the registration.

Age: Ages 6-11

Dive into the magical world of Broadway as your child learns and performs iconic musical numbers from hit shows featuring young talent. Develop skills in theatrical dancing while having a blast with fellow aspiring stars. Watch your child’s confidence soar as they embrace the stage! We believe in the power of joy! Our Broadway Bootcamp Jr is designed for maximum fun and surprises that will have your child grinning from ear to ear. The magic happens on the stage! Invite friends and family to witness the spectacular showcase on Friday after class at the Cutler Mill Event Room, where your child takes center stage, bringing Broadway to life with their newfound skills. Musical Theater Dance Bootcamp (Ages 9-13)

Dates: Friday, April 3rd, 2026

Time: 9:30-11:30am

Location: Arts Alive! Studio at Cutler Mill- 16 Cutler Street Warren

Cost: $30 *Scholarship application will be available as part of the registration.

Age: Ages 9-13

Description:Learn three musical theater combinations from three different genres in the musical theater repertoire in an audition style setting.
Skills Taught:
-Gaining confidence for your next dance call
-How to tell a story through dance
-How to stand out at a dance call
-Understanding the specific styles of dance within the Musical Theater Repertoire and physically committing to those styles in the audition room.

Magical Monologues (Ages 14-18)

Dates: Friday, April 3rd, 2026

Time: 12:00-2:30pm

Location: Arts Alive! Studio at Cutler Mill- 16 Cutler Street Warren

Cost: $35 *Scholarship application will be available as part of the registration.

Age: Ages 14-18

Description: Finding strong audition monologues can often feel like a chore. Learning specific techniques on how to bring these monologues to life is even harder. If you feel like you need more practice on how to spice up your monologue game, this is the workshop for you!
Skills Taught:
-How to find strong audition monologues
-How to score your monologue effectively
-Creating interesting choices
-Strong pre-beats and end-beats
-Developing the physical language of the character
-Listening and responding
-Exploring ways to decrease performance jitters before entering the audition room
