Arts Alive! is proud to present our 2027 Pre-Professional High School Production of the timeless Broadway classic Fiddler on the Roof.

Set in the small Jewish village of Anatevka in 1905, Fiddler on the Roof is one of the most beloved musicals ever written. Rich with unforgettable music, humor, heart, and powerful storytelling, it explores themes of family, faith, love, resilience, and the delicate balance between honoring tradition and embracing change. Featuring iconic songs including “Tradition,” “Matchmaker,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” and “To Life,” this masterpiece continues to resonate with audiences around the world.

For this production, Arts Alive! is committed to honoring the cultural significance of the piece through thoughtful research, education, and collaboration with the Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center and the Yiddish Book Center, creating an experience that is both artistically excellent and deeply respectful.

About the Arts Alive! Pre-Professional Company
The Arts Alive! Pre-Professional Company is designed for highly motivated high school performers who are ready to challenge themselves in a professional-style rehearsal environment. More than simply producing a musical, our mission is to help young artists develop as performers, storytellers, collaborators, and leaders. Students receive advanced training in acting, vocal performance, movement, character development, and ensemble work while working alongside an experienced creative team that is committed to nurturing both artistic excellence and personal growth. Many of our performers have gone on to study musical theatre at leading college programs, earn recognition through the Ocean State Star Awards, and pursue professional opportunities in the performing arts. Whether your goal is Broadway, college auditions, community theatre, or simply becoming the strongest performer you can be, this program is designed to help you take the next step.

New for 2027
Dance Ensemble Auditions
We’re excited to include a dedicated Dance Ensemble, creating additional opportunities for exceptional dancers to be featured throughout the production. This ensemble will perform in many of the show’s most exciting musical numbers while receiving focused choreography and performance training.

MANDATORY Tech Rehearsals: 3/8-3/11

Program Fee
$350 for Main Cast Actors & $250 for Dance Ensemble/ Middle Schol Participants
Full payment will be due at the time of registration. Those participants who are not cast will receive a full refund minus a $25 Non-Refundable Audition Fee.
Scholarships are available within the registration form. 

Performance venue and ticket information will be announced at a later date.

Ocean State Star Awards
Arts Alive! is proud to once again participate in the Ocean State Star Awards at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC). Eligible performers will have the opportunity to be adjudicated alongside outstanding high school musical theatre programs from across Rhode Island, with opportunities for recognition, scholarships, and advancement.
